Overwhelming Victory for David Milliband
Bassetlaw Labour Party decided to consult members and Labour voters to decide which candidate for the Labour Leadership should be nominated by Bassetlaw Labour Party.
The Party distributed ballot papers to members and known Labour voters via post (both by Royal Mail and by hand delivery) and on John Mann’s website. There was a 33% return.
The ballot was by single transferable vote.
The result is as follows:-

David Miliband exceeded 50% of first preference votes and is therefore declared the winner.
Bassetlaw Labour Party has therefore submitted a supporting nomination for David Miliband as Leader of the Labour Party.
